About Me

So who is Kelsey? And why does he go cycling?

Well Kelsey is me, I started cycling summer 2016 and I fell in love with it as both a hobby and a sport. I quickly joined the Manitoba provincial team, got a cyclocross bike, got a road bike, another road bike, another cross bike, and a fat bike. I'm currently living in Winnipeg, Manitoba and my riding consists of both flat out rides to work when I'm late, casual rides to work when I'm on time, and a nice long ride home, along with interval training as much as possible (base miles in the cold aren't fun).

I'm currently recovering from a car crash back in May of 2018, when I get back I'll be riding and racing in cat 3, and hopefully keeping at that level for a while.

I decided to start blogging because I ask a lot of questions and try to answer them for myself (when it comes to cycling at least). This blog serves as a way for me to pass on both the good and the bad. Also since getting a job in a bike shop, I've gotten an idea of what kind of questions other people have, so I can answer some of those questions too (who knows, maybe I can save someone a trip to their local bike shop).

That's all I feel a need to cover here. Any more and I might start ruining future post ideas. If you want to support this blog, head on over to goapparel.ca and get a pair of socks or two. I started that company a couple of months after crashing as a way to give back to our amazing riding community.

Live long and ride hard
